The CPI is a one-hour, CD-ROM-based assessment which
can be completed at a FasTracKids® Enrichment Center
near you. Unlike typical intelligence tests –
which require reading and writing skills and do not
measure creativity (a great predictor of long-term success)
– the CPI screens a child’s abilities and
potential in the following 19 critical areas:
| •
Vocabulary |

Another
way the CPI is different from traditional intelligence
tests is that it’s actually fun for the child
to complete. The CPI is presented as an interactive
game and uses colorful animations and sound to encourage
children to put forth their best effort.
After completing
the CPI assessment, an Internet-based scoring tool is
used to upload the results. Parents then instantly receive
a confidential evaluation of performance, along with
a customized set of developmental recommendations for
their child.
