Summer Programs – Vacation with Education

As the world continues to reinvent what we have thought to be true for tens of hundreds of years, our strongest beliefs regarding children’s education are changing as well. We have computers and the Internet, educational television, endless out of school activities and enrichment programs. However, the one aspect of our children’s education that hasn’t changed is the long break from school. Some countries schedule a break in between grade levels (sometimes up to 3 months long) and some have a few breaks scheduled throughout the year.

An article from Time Magazine, titled “The Case Against Summer Vacation”, talks in length about how there is a noticeable gap between children who continue to learn during their break and those who don’t.  It also goes in-depth about organizations that are trying to fill up this time, especially for lower income children, with creative educational enrichment programs.

At FasTracKids, we recognize that a break from a student’s normal education schedule is an opportunity to run our camps program.  Kids can attend and bridge their learning between when school ends and begins.  Around the world, over 1300 children this year attended these camps:

FasTrack Camps - Anatomy of MeAnatomy of Me

Through the exploration of different major anatomical or body systems (skeletal, respiratory, digestive, circulatory & nervous), your child will explore the human anatomy and learn to develop healthy habits along the way.

Our favorite bunny is learning exercises and sports from around the world! FasTracKids join Spencer as he learns different stretches, exercises, yoga techniques and sports. Teammates and coaches teach how each sport is played and how sports give life lessons.

FasTrack Camps - Artist StudioArtist Studio

Join Ana Paula in the FasTrack art studio and be inspired by the works of famous artists such as Van Gogh, Matisse and Picasso while creating unique pieces of art! Students will enjoy creating their own cartoon story, interacting with digital art on the Learning Station, making several sculptures and illustrating books.

Not only is it important to stop children from falling further behind in their education during those long breaks from school, but it is imperative that children continue to learn while away from school.
