Project CURE

Many of our FasTracKids students come from stable and privileged households. Their parents are able to provide great opportunities such as a quality education, extracurricular activities and being a FasTracKid!  Unfortunately, many children in underdeveloped countries are not able to receive the proper nutrition or basic medical care that they need to live, let alone an education.

An organization helping these children is Project C.U.R.E.  The project was founded in Evergreen, Colorado, USA, about 40 miles west of FasTracKids corporate office.  The organization was founded in 1987 by Dr. James Jackson. Dr. Jackson was working as an international economic consultant in developing nations around the globe, when his work led him face to face with the needs of the sick and dying. Dr. Jackson made a promise that he would help provide relief to those people, who were often turned away due to the lack of basic medical supplies and equipment. Currently, PROJECT C.U.R.E. maintains large distribution warehouses in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Tennessee, where medical supplies and equipment are shipped around the world.  For more information on the history of Project C.U.R.E., click here.

In 2010, FasTracKids participated in Project C.U.R.E.’s cause to fill boxes with basic medical supplies for children in underdeveloped countries.   From July through September, our franchisees in New York asked FTK parents to help them fill these boxes throughout the summer.    Some of our employees at the corporate office have also contributed to the cause.

There are many opportunities to become involved with Project C.U.R.E.  You can donate, volunteer, fill boxes with basic medical supplies, or even hold your own Project C.U.R.E. event!  For more information on these opportunities, be sure to visit the volunteer page or projectcure.org.

At FasTracKids, we are grateful for the chance to help with Project C.U.R.E.’s selfless cause.  This holiday season, think of those who could use a little help in their lives, and don’t be afraid to offer it!
